While properties in this book promise all the delight and charm found in Special Places to Stay: British Bed & Breakfast, they come with a much higher price tag. We've used this book to select accommodations in England, Scotland, and Wales and while each hotel has been extremely nice (some of the nicest places we've stayed in Europe), the cost is significantly higher than other available venues
Like the B&B guide, each entry in this book includes a photograph, a brief written description of both the property and its owners, and a set of symbols that indicate accepted method of payment; smoking/non-smoking; and pet, child, handicapped & vegetarian facilities. The guide also includes maps and driving directions that are a welcome supplement to a more general atlas of major motorways.
This book provides a lot of useful information to travelers and, if you can afford it, will ensure a special holiday in Britain.
