(More customer reviews)This book is a good resource for listings of pubs in Edinburgh. The rating scale used in the book probably doesn't apply to out-of-country visitors though. Pubs that were rated high in the book were viewed poorly by visitors when I did some research. The author is a scottish male, so he likely would be treated differently than visitors would be. It's best to do more research on the individual pubs that you are interesting in visiting. However again, this book is a great resource in the listing and location of Edinburgh pubs!

It will lead you past everything you need to see plus you can hit 4-5 pubs on the way over 4-8 hours of walking tours and sites. Its much better than CAMRA guides (easier, lighter, take a backpack). CAMRA is more if you want to find X beer. This is to find the most scenic pubs in the most scenic areas on foot. Best for walkers with cameras. Mix in some scenic stuff for the spouses and your set. We did all 6 days on 6 walks - mixed with other stuff and this book was a Godsend. Good job Bob! "I'll be back!" Best money I have every spent.
