(More customer reviews)The Johansens guide books are very popular in the UK; most of them relate to various types of hotels in Britain itself. Most of the volumes are updated with new editions every year. Some are even available in Japanese.
They are very well illustrated, so that you have a clear idea of what the hotel looks like inside and out. The text is to the point and helpful.
They cover a broad spectrum of hotels though this particular volume mostly relates to comparatively smart and conmensurately expensive places.
I also strongly recommend the 'Friars Guides' for New Zealand which are very similiar in layout but very hard to get hold of.
